JERRY BARON Jerry Baron, a southern Oregon coast resident, works chiefly in oil bar and acrylic on paper or hardboard. His works are full of spontaneous expression and strong color that often provide a satirical or cutting-edge statement about the human condition and/or society. Jerry believes painting is a process of discovery. He feels if one spends too much time deliberating the end result of a work in progress, then the discovery process is thwarted, or lost. Jerry likes to let the painting happen on its own; to emerge from itself as he works. Jerry’s paintings have been exhibited in several states and throughout Oregon, including major Portland art galleries. |
