Drawn to Asian philosophies and Shamanism, Cary brings an awareness of mind, spirit, and environment to her work.  Her figurines are expressions of the subconscious and symbolism .

Cary’s earthenware pieces are slowly worked upward allowing each layer to dry. Before firing, they are painted with Terra Sigilatta, wood ash, and overglazes.  Finally, a variety of  stains, paints and wax are applied.
